WINDS (When In Nevada Does’t Stop?)
You may have noticed it’s been a bit breezy this January. The winds have felt like they weren’t ever going to stop.
This past weekend NV Energy reported that Northern Nevada had an 18-hour, high-wind event. And the National Weather Service recorded 79 mph winds in the Jacks Valley area. The week before nearly 90 mph winds were recorded in Washoe Valley.
For perspective, the National Hurricane Center classifies a category 1 hurricane as having sustained winds of 74 to 95 mph.
All of us at Tahoe Fence hope everyone impacted by the recent storms are safe and doing alright.
