Dog Days

We are in the midst of the “Dog Days” of Summer. Known as the hottest 40 days of midsummer from July 3rd to August 11th.

Originally, people in ancient Greece and Rome believed the rising temperatures would make dogs go mad or rabid.

Our hot and dry weather can have adverse effects toward natural wood and thinner, vinyl fences as well. A benefit of Trex and other composite materials is the ability of handling hot temperatures, without drying out, shrinking, splitting, or warping.

Stay cool and keep yourself and your pets hydrated.
