Tahoe Fence is looking for a Part Time Office Receptionist/Assistant
Tahoe Fence Co., Inc., a family owned and operated business, is licensed in both California and Nevada. We have been serving the Lake Tahoe area, Northern Nevada, and Eastern Sierras since 1974. From the mountains through the valleys, we continue a tradition of excellence.
We were chosen as “Business of the Year” for 2016 by the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation. And we have been voted one of the Top 3 Fence Companies by the “‘Nevada Appeal’ Best of Carson City,” every year since 2009.
Tahoe Fence is a complete, full-service fence contractor providing repairs, new installations, rental fencing/construction panels, and material sales. We work with wire, metal, wood, ornamental iron (steel), and vinyl fencing.
We work five days a week, Monday through Friday. The work is mostly at our corporate office at 36 Brown Drive, Carson City, Nevada.
Administrative and file management experience, familiarity with scheduling customer services, data entry, email and texting, and office telephone systems is preferred. However, we will provide on the job training.
Applicants are encouraged to have a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others, follow direction, and a valid driver’s license.
Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

General Responsibilities of the Hiring Position (included but not limited to):
Act as a first point of contact with business contacts, customers, and vendors on various tasks.
Act as a liaison between customers and Company teams (accounting, estimating, installation/fabrication, and sales.)
Answer telephones/emails/texts, screen and/or forward calls/messages, provide information, take messages, and schedule appointments.
Call/email in utility locate requests.
Create, receive, send appointment reminders and estimates/job bids to customers.
Eager to learn and be patient.
Effectively communicating and documenting time spent on duties performed.
File and maintain records.
Following directions in a team/group and alone to complete job tasks.
Maintain an organized work area such as with computer desktop/files, desk and work area, equipment, filing cabinets, and office.
Maintaining personal appearance as a representative of the Company. Be efficient, honest, responsible, and on time.
Managing project documents and verifying orders for accuracy.
Provide office support duties as assigned, including copying, filing, and generating contracts, change orders, and documents.
Provide office support to additional Company staff as required.
Qualifying leads and scheduling estimate appointments for sales estimators.
Responsible in understanding and following Company/site rules and safety procedures.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable means of arriving at work (Company Office) daily.
Travel occasionally to run errands, collect office supplies, payments from clients, pick up/send mail, etc.
