Silver in the Country
This weekend is the 25th Anniversary of “Night in the Country” in Yerington.
Started in 2002, as a 1-night event that drew roughly 900 in attendance. The festival has grown to 3-nights of camping, country music, and nearly 10,000 attendees. About 30,000 fans come out across the area over the weekend.
300 to 600 community members and supporters help out during the festival and with preparations throughout the year. All to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mason Valley in Dayton, Hawthorne, Silver Springs, and Yerington.
Congratulations on your Silver Anniversary!
And if you plan on being in the area, please be patient with the traffic. Everyone is just trying to get to where they’re going. So, everyone can enjoy their weekend.
