Yay, Dads
This weekend is Father’s Day.
The 1st recognized statewide Father’s Day was celebrated in 1910 in Spokane, Washington. It became a national holiday in 1972.
Coincidentally, it was three dads in the state of Washington that came up with the game of Pickleball. In order to entertain their kids during the Summer of 1965, they combined a lowered badminton net, ping-pong paddles, a wiffle ball, and conceived the foundation of the game we now know as Pickleball.
Yay, Dads!
