A Rock & A Hard Place

Black, steel hand rail along stone/rock wall and steps in Tahoma (Placer/El Dorado Counties.)A Rock & A Hard Place

Our crews were literally working between rocks (boulders) and hard places (tree roots and stone retaining walls and steps) to get this black, hand rail in before the snow.

We had to get creative and cantilever the railing through the rocks and over the wall to be accessible from the steps. Props to our crews for taking what they were given and making it work.

From the customer: “Looks really good. And thanks so much for getting the railing in before the snow. I know your teams must be extremely busy.” – B.W. (December 2021)

Where’s The Snow

Where’s The Snow

Our crews did a great job on this brown, chain link well enclosure at Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley in the Olympic Valley.)

Completion took a bit longer because of snow that piled up during construction. At the time these pictures were taken, you can just see where the snow remaining is at the edge of our work area and on the peak in the background.

Forecast says more snow coming this week. Palisades Tahoe looks good in winter with snow (flashback 1960 Winter Olympics.)

Did you know the 1960 Winter Olympics were the first in the US to be televised?

Use The Crosswalk

Use The Crosswalk

It’s time to go back to school/work now that the Thanksgiving holiday is over.

To help everyone get back into the swing of things, our crews did a great job on this student drop off/pick up school fence. The purpose is to keep kids and people safe by requiring them to use the crosswalks rather than attempt to go through moving vehicle traffic.

Side note: Crosswalks have been used since the early 1950s (supposedly originating in Great Britain) in an attempt to protect pedestrians.

Our crews nailed it with this dogear fence on steel posts. In order to match grade with the neighboring fences, pressure treated 2x12s were used as bottom kickers.

Our crews did a good job finishing up some iron entry gates at the Lake before the weather started coming in this weekend.

In the picture it looks like Fall weather. Today it looks like an early start to Winter.

Wild About The Weather

Wild About The Weather

Recently its gone from being hot and dry with wild fires to freezing cold and snow. The weather is wild. And so are some of the creatures that live in our neighborhoods.

Our crews did a nice job on this 5′ high, woven wire fence with wood posts and redwood rails to keep the wild horses from eating the trees in Stagecoach (Lyon County.)

To quote our customer: “I’m happy with my new fence.” – H.V.
