Congrats To All The Grads

Congrats To All The Grads

School is getting out for the summer. So from all of us at Tahoe Fence, congrats to all the grads.

Whether it’s elementary, middle, high school, trade school, or college, congratulations.

Tahoe’s always been found of those with their “PHDs” . . .

POST HOLE DIGGERS!

Rocks, like what’s pictured with this 2-rail, split rail in Carnelian Bay by Tahoe City (Placer County,) aren’t going to move themselves. It takes someone (Tahoe’s crews) who know what they’re doing with a digging bar and diggers to make a fence look good in that type of terrain.

Happy Memorial Day!

A gentle breeze moves Old Glory like an ocean tide across the land.
Row upon row of waving flags gesture a welcome greeting from many dear, departed friends.
We will always remember you.
Happy Memorial Day!

Did you know that Congress officially authorized the use of the Nickel on this date in 1866? Even though only partially made of nickel (25% nickel & mostly copper), it’s one of the few coins in the U.S. named after its metal content (always been partial to Silver Dollars ourselves.)

Nickel with the addition of chromium can also be used in the making of steel to resist rust. Similar to this 3-rail, ornamental steel fence Tahoe’s crews installed in Dayton (Lyon County.) The posts & panels are pre-galvanized with a black, powder coat finish to increase the fence’s durability.

It’s windy again, hold on.

Black, ornamental steel railings by Tahoe Fence for decks, landings, & ramp in Carson CityIt’s windy again, hold on.

The gusts are picking up so hold onto something. Like this black, steel railing Tahoe installed in Carson City.

Tahoe’s crew did a great job securing 5-different decks, landings, and ramp. The railing looks fantastic and provide safety from the elevation changes, and something to hold onto (using the stairs and in the wind.)

A special shout out to Northeast Masonry. Paul and his masons did an awesome job on the brick work and concrete Tahoe used to anchor the posts. They are truly knowledgeable and skilled craftsmen. Thank you.

Wind, Wind, Go Away . . . Come Again Another Day

Like this dogear wood fence Tahoe's crews built in Carson City. It has cedar boards with redwood rails built on steel posts. The crew even cut a bottom kicker board to match the slope of the yard, so the new fence would match the height of the existing fence. Wind, Wind, Go Away . . . Come Again Another Day

Bright Weather

This vinyl (PVC) rail Tahoe's crews installed in Carson City is easy to keep bright and like new. With a rinse from a garden hose while watering the trees, vinyl fencing is simple to clean and maintain. And the birds seem to appreciate the houses made from scraps that don't make it into the recycle bins.Bright Weather

It’s bright outside. Sunny skies are warming up the days. Plants and trees are leafing out. And the birds are adding their own commotion to it all.

Some plants, such as grape vines, like the extra sunlight the reflective surface of white vinyl fencing can provide. And the birds seem to appreciate the houses made from scraps that don’t make it into the recycle bins.

Baseball’s Back

Tahoe's crews had a chance to add to a shade structure we made for the softball bleachers at CHS with a new, shade screen. Baseball’s Back

Professional baseball officially begins this week (Thursday 3/31.)

Get outside. Enjoy the weather. And support your teams, whether they’re professional, community leagues, or area school baseball and softball teams.

Tahoe’s crews had a chance to add to a shade structure we made for the softball bleachers at CHS with a new, shade screen.

Now get out there and cheer for your teams to swing for the fences.

Do you know why baseball fields look alike, but the sizes vary?
It’s because there’s only a minimum requirement for the distance of an outfield fence from home plate. In softball, 200 ft is the recommended distance. In Baseball, 250 ft is the minimum distance from the outfield fence to home plate.
