Cheers to the New Year

Cheers to the New Year
New Year’s Day represents a fresh start, where we reflect on the year that just ended, set resolutions for the year ahead, and people come together to celebrate. Other common ways people mark this special occasion are by eating good luck food, sharing a midnight kiss, and cheering the New Year.
One famous tradition is the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" on New Year’s Eve. This Scottish poem written down by Robert Burns in the 1780s is about preserving old friendships and looking back over the events of the year.
“Auld lang syne” roughly translates as “for old times’ sake.” As the lyrics continue on, we are reminded to share a cup of kindness and drink of good-will.
Whether you are staying home, or heading out with loved ones, however you celebrate, may 2025 bring you happiness and success. Tahoe Fence wishes you a year filled with kindness and good-will.
Thank you for a wonderful 2024, and Happy New Year!
