Hey Mom, It's Your Day That's right moms, it's your day. Actually, you have the whole weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. Celebrated in both ancient Greece and Rome. Made into a national holiday in 1914 (which President really loved his Mamma - Woodrow Wilson.) And traditionally, more money is spent for gifts on Mother's Day than Father's Day (not only does Mom's Day come earlier on the calendar, but moms also get better gifts!) Let's celebrate our moms this weekend. Get some flowers or even a more personal gift, like a picture frame with an image only a mom could love. Ours. Happy Mother's Day.
