Work Inspiration This weekend marks the birthday of Pablo Picasso, who was born in 1881. Known for being one of the founders of Cubism in the early 1900s, the Spanish artist started deconstructing images into basic shapes. Then rearranging those shapes to show several perspectives simultaneously. Picasso is attributed with saying that, "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." He was a prolific artist who produced a new piece of art just about every day of his adult life. And he even held a Guinness Record for the amount of art he produced. Whether or not you like his art, it's worth noting that Picasso's 1955 painting "Women of Algiers (Version O)" is one of the most expensive paintings ever sold at over $179 million. We're inspired!
